We can help you get started on your farm planning remotely, without ever having to step foot on your property! Using web-based soil and forage programs, we can help you get a great start to achieving the most efficient setup. From gate and water placement, to avoiding annoying puddles in your dry lots or arena, we can help to meet many of your needs.
While not as in-depth as an on-site consultation, our consultants can help you to reach your goals for your new farm or ranch. This usually involves at least an hour prepping for the consult, and then a phone interview to discuss your personal goals and needs. Consultants will then spend several hours preparing your individualized plan for your property. |
To get the best setup from the get-go, our consultants can help you to create your dream horse property. While visiting your new property, our consultants can take soil samples to determine fertility needs, evaluate factors such as drainage issues and soil types, and can even help to decide which forage species will be ideal for your pastures if planting is needed. We can also take forage samples to determine forage quality, and help determine appropriate stocking rates for your pastures.
Our consultants are well-versed in equine grazing and pasture management, and they can help you to set up ideal rotations and create pastures to help you in your daily management. Our on-site consultations will be more detailed compared to remote planning, as we can get an in-person assessment of your property. They will entail actually traveling to your farm or ranch, with at least a 3 hour visit, depending on size of your property. Additional time will then be spent after the visit developing the best plan for your needs. |
