Our consulting services can be offered remotely or in-person.  No matter which service you're interested in, the recommendations provided by Field & Fodder, LLC are completely unbiased and scientifically-backed.  We are happy to work with any feed ​company our clients choose.

Every farm and ranch is different, and so each evaluation will be based on individual's needs and goals. For smaller operations with only 1-3 horses, 2-3 hours is the average time spent. It can vary drastically based on individual horse requirements; if several horses have similar needs, then less time is required. If multiple horses have different metabolic or health issues, more time will be required. Larger operations almost always require more time and preparation, so please contact us for a free estimate. ​   



 

Nutrition consultations

We strive to increase the efficiency of any feeding program by only feeding exactly what your horse requires. By tailoring your nutrition program to your horse, we may be able to eliminate unnecessary supplements and excess feed, thereby saving you money.  Our goal is to provide your horse with a  completely balanced ration, while also providing you with the tools to better understand your horses' needs.

Pasture Management

Our consultants are highly trained in pasture management and have several years experience in creating and evaluating pasture setup. This is ideal for owners who have recently purchased existing horse farms, or who are looking to improve efficiency of feeding and equine management. Our goal is to create plans that improve overall pasture health and longevity, while improving equine health.

Ideal for horse owners who have just purchased new property, we can assist in the layout of pastures, gates, water locations, and anything else that you may need that is equine-related on your property. Both consultants have extensive experience in pasture planning, and will be able to help you set up your new farm, as well as create grazing rotation plans to ensure that your pastures stay healthy for years to come.

Service Pricing
Pricing is dependent on each situation, and is billed by the hour.   All services must be paid in full prior to site visits or sending recommendations.  Clients will receive a report containing their individual recommendations, as well as any pertinent articles and other information, within 2 weeks of consultants receiving all information.

​*Forage analyses can take up to 2 weeks depending on time of year, and clients will be notified as soon as they are submitted and analysis is returned.
